Pundit issues warning about ‘unbelievable’ new Rangers signing Kieran Dowell

Rangers have been sent an injury warning regarding new signing Kieran Dowell, who is joining the club on a free transfer from Norwich City.

According to former Gers player Lewis Macleod, the new Ibrox man has had “quite a few injuries.”

Macleod, who played with Dowell at Wigan, believes keeping both him and fellow signing Dujon Sterling fit will be a challenge for Michael Beale.

“The only thing is keeping them fit,” said Macleod, as quoted by the Daily Record. “Doweller’s had quite a few injuries.

“On his game, his technical ability is unbelievable.”

Big challenge

Beale has made his intentions about the upcoming summer transfer window very clear, with the manager confirming two new players before the window has even opened.

Both Sterling and Dowell will officially move to Ibrox on 1 July, and their signatures look set to represent the first of many at the Scottish club this summer.

Both deals also represent fantastic business from Beale, with Sterling an exciting talent given his time at Chelsea and Dowell an experienced player from his time in the Championship.

It will, however, come as a worry to Gers fans that the latter has had several injury issues over the years, with such issues perhaps one of the reasons why Rangers were able to bring him in on a free transfer.

Gers supporters and indeed Beale will be hoping that the worst issues are now behind him and that the 25-year-old can really kick on in Scotland.
