Transfer options emerge as Rangers to try and ship out Scott Wright this summer

Rangers are reportedly likely to try and ship out Scott Wright this summer as part of a major Ibrox exodus that’s already kick-started.

According to Glasgow Times [1 June], 25-year-old will now have a decision to make as there may be options in the SPFL or the Championship in England.

Gers may allow him to leave on a loan or even sanction a permanent sale as he’s been a fringe player at Ibrox.

Keep him

While Wright may not be a player that strengthens the playing eleven, he serves as a utility player who can be a backup in multiple positions.

Due to his versatility, Michael Beale can rely on him to come off the bench and put in a shift where the situation needs him to be in.

He’s made 122 SPFL appearances and is still in his mid-20s so it’s not like he’s not made the most of his opportunities and he’s certainly matured as a player as well.

He can play in midfield, either deeper or advanced, and has also been deployed on the flanks so he’s a decent option to have.

He’s also just 25 so he isn’t old either and there are plenty of other underwhelming players that need to be binned first before it’s Wright’s turn.

It will be really surprising if Michael Beale ends up sanctioning his permanent exit as he could still put in a shift for the club.

In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
