Rangers unlikely to part ways with Rabbi Mattondo this summer transfer window
Rabbi Matondo is reportedly unlikely to part ways with Rangers amid his performances towards the back end of the 2022/23 campaign.
According to the Glasgow Times [1 June], Michael Beale is expected to keep his faith in the 22-year-old after Ryan Kent’s departure.
It’s understood that his career at Ibrox was written off at the start of 2023 after he endured a wretched few months at the club.

Cash in if possible?
Matondo arrived at Ibrox for a £3million fee and thus far has done very little to prove that he’s been worth the outlay for the 55-time SPFL champions.
He has impressed on occasion, showing glimpses of how good he can be, but the lack of consistency has annoyed fans and managers.
If there is a market for him and they’re offering a decent transfer fee, Rangers maybe should consider it and re-invest elsewhere.

He may get good at some time in the future, but that’s a risk that the club aren’t in a position to take right now as they need instant results.
They also need to sign a replacement for Kent and that will ensure that Matondo’s already not going to be a regular starter.
It is decision making time at Ibrox and hopefully, Beale makes the right ones as it’s a crucial summer for him and the club.
In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
