Rangers transfer news: Dujon Sterling reacts to confirmed Ibrox move in ‘most incredible’ verdict
Dujon Sterling has called Rangers supporters the “most incredible fans” as he reacted to his confirmed deal to join Michael Beale’s squad.
The former Chelsea full-back became the second arrival of the manager’s rebuild when his free transfer from Stamford Bridge was announced on Tuesday (30 May).
He is obviously eager to get to work as he posted his “excited” reaction to the next step in his career on social media a day later.

Posting on his personal Twitter account Sterling wrote: “Excited to join this amazing club with the most incredible fans! I can’t wait for the season ahead!”
Coup
The Sterling deal certainly looks like a positive one, and picking him up for free when Chelsea had offered him a new contract [Scottish Sun, 16 May] is a boost for Beale and his rebuild.
He will have a battle on his hands to shift club captain James Tavernier from his preferred right-back spot, but the new arrival has the versatility to feature in other areas.
Beale may not be looking exclusively for immediate starters this summer, such is the scale of the amount of signings he needs to make.

But he won’t have brought in the 23-year-old just to sit on the bench so it is fair to assume he will see a decent share of action once the new season arrives.
Getting him and Kieran Dowell in as soon as possible on 1 July once their respective contracts expire is clearly going to be of benefit to them as they will be available for the entirety of the pre-season.
The early weeks are set to be crucial with Champions League qualification an immediate priority, so Beale will want as much of his squad formulated ahead of time.
In other Rangers news, the Light Blues are ready to launch a new attempt to buy a favourite Beale target this summer amid a new hurdle to clear.
