Manchester United loanee Jack Butland holds talks with Rangers in last 24 hours with Crystal Palace exit set
Manchester United loanee Jack Butland has reportedly held talks with Rangers over the past 24 hours as he appears set to join them.
According to the Daily Mail [30 May], he held talks with them on Tuesday night to reach an agreement on personal terms.
His deal with Crystal Palace is set to run out in June and he will not be signing a new deal at Selhurst Park – instead moving to Ibrox
Announcement next week?
Manchester United take on Manchester City in the FA Cup final over the weekend so any announcement before that is unexpected.
Even though Butland will not be playing that game, on paper, it’s his last professional match of the season and clubs tend to honour contracts.
United obviously will have no say in when Rangers can announce it as they’re not keen on signing him permanently.
He moved on loan to Old Trafford this season to serve as backup to David De Gea – who retained his spot in the team despite some erratic form.
The transfer revolution at Ibrox is well and truly underway with a lot of upheaval in the squad as players will be leaving while new ones have joined already.
Michael Beale undoubtedly will be waiting to start working with some of his signings as he would want to impart his philosophy as soon as possible ahead of the new season.
In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
