Ex-Celtic star Ryan Christie shares Rangers verdict ahead of Scottish Cup final
Bournemouth ace Ryan Christie believes Rangers are “getting back to their best” despite Celtic potentially winning the treble this season.
The former Bhoys midfielder won the domestic treble with Celtic in 2018/19 and 2019/20.
And his former club can achieve the feat again if they defeat Inverness in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday (3 June).

“It’s a massive feat,” said Christie, as quoted by BBC Sport. “When I did it, you don’t really realise what you’ve done, putting a run of trebles together.
“Now that Rangers are getting back to their best, pushing Celtic all the way, if they do it, I’ll be delighted for some of my old team-mates because it’s an incredible achievement.
“You only realise that once you move away or are looking down the line years later.”

Superb achievement
It really would be a superb achievement if Celtic manage to once again secure all three domestic trophies, particularly given how Ange Postecoglou has not been at the club for very long.
But their situation should serve as a stark reminder to everyone associated with Rangers that next season must be better, and that Michale Beale must strengthen in the summer transfer window in order to have any hope of closing the gap.
Rangers are definitely improving under their current boss, with such improvement shown when the Gers defeated Celtic 3-0 at Ibrox earlier this month.
That result will have hopefully served as a warning to the club’s rivals, in that Beale is not prepared to stand idly by as Celtic dominate proceedings in Scotland.
The manager has already been busy in the summer transfer window, but Gers fans will want the signatures to keep on coming, particularly since the loss of senior stars such as Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos.
In other Rangers news, official partner Heart & Hand Podcast has shared a two-word reaction to a brand new Ibrox signing.
