Michael Beale verdict at Rangers shared after what happened in Celtic title celebrations
There are plenty of reasons for Michael Beale and Rangers to be “positive” ahead of the new campaign, according to journalist Graeme Macpherson.
The positivity comes despite Beale being subjected to Celtic’s title celebrations after the final round of matches.
Rangers defeated St Mirren 3-0 on Saturday (27 May), with champions Celtic smashing Aberdeen 5-0 on the same day.

“The volume was on mute and the picture was somewhat fuzzy but Michael Beale couldn’t have helped noticing the footage of Celtic celebrating their title on the TV stationed immediately to his left as he sat down to do his post-match media interviews inside the SMISA Stadium,” Macpherson wrote for The Scotsman.
“Here’s what you could have won. And in another year they just might have. In the past decade Rangers’ final tally of 92 points would have been good enough to finish the season as champions in 2019, 2018, 2016 and 2013 while they would only have lost out on the 2015 title on goal difference.
“Plenty, then, for Beale and his players to be positive about ahead of next season.”

Huge campaign incoming
Everyone associated with Rangers had long been waiting for the campaign to finish, having been forced to watch on as their fierce rivals Celtic trumped them in all areas.
Now the season is finally over, and many players have already been moved on, but quite simply, it means the hard work is only just getting started.
The players will get their break, but with the Champions League qualifiers coming up in the not-too-distant future, Beale will want his squad to be as ready as possible.
They can, of course, take positives from the latest campaign, including their strong run under Beale and also the fact they finally managed to defeat their city rivals.
But they eventually fell short, with the recruitment of the right players this summer undoubtedly set to help resolve that issue.
The Gers boss has to get it right in the transfer window, with too many mistakes made in recent times.
In other Rangers news, Serie A clubs Bologna and Udinese have joined the race to sign one Gers player this summer.
