Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos to miss SPFL clash v St Mirren
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is reportedly not likely to feature for St Mirren over the weekend, 27 May as an image of him at the airport has emerged.
According to Football Scotland [26 May], he appeared to be travelling by Air France amid transfer links to clubs all over Europe.
The club have announced that he will leave at the end of the season so it looks like he’s played his last game for the club.
Wouldn’t have played anyway?
The final day of the season, when there’s nothing left to play for, is typically used by managers to give a chance to youngsters and fringe players.
They even use it as a send-off to a club legend or something along those lines, but Morelos does not fit that criteria.
The way he’s conducted himself over the past few months, fans will be happy that he’ll not be there at the club next season.
He may offer plenty on the field of play, but off it, he’s not the kind of personality that enriches dressing rooms.
Even when he’s playing, there’s always that petulance and nasty streak about him and it’s no surprise he gets sent off as often as he does.
It’s certainly been a memorable spell at Ibrox and it’s now time for the club to sign a solid replacement for him.
In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
