Antonio Colak and Bailey Rice to be in Rangers squad v St Mirren - Michael Beale

Michael Beale has revealed Antonio Colak and Bailey Rice will return to the Rangers squad for the final game of the season against St Mirren.

Colak hasn’t featured for the first-team since coming on as a substitute in the 3-2 defeat to Celtic back in April having suffered with injury, while Rice made his debut earlier this month.

And the boss has admitted that both players will be in the squad on Saturday for the final game of the campaign, although he didn’t share whether they would start or be named on the bench.

“Colak will return to the squad this weekend, Rice will also return to the squad,” he said as quoted by the official Rangers Twitter account (26 May).

Finale

It’s been a long, hard season at Ibrox and Rangers fans are unsurprisingly desperate to see the end of the campaign.

Losing the title to Celtic is always hard to deal with, while losing the cup semi-final and cup final to them too makes it even worse, but we have seen some progress since Beale came in.

The summer is going to be absolutely huge and this is the final chance for several players to put in a performance in front of the manager and potentially save their futures at the club.

Some will leave regardless of what happens on the pitch against St Mirren on Saturday afternoon, and it’s one more chance for the fans to say goodbye to them.

A win to close out the season would be the ideal way to see them off and bring in the new season with new faces with some fresh aspirations and renewed confidence.
