We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Rangers...

Rangers defender Connor Goldson may be ruled out with a number of possible injuries including ligament tears and fractures, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has reacted after Michael Beale revealed on 21 May that he will be ruled out for 10 weeks which will see him missing their pre season as well.

The Gers boss, however, did not confirm what injury the English defender has sustained but set out a timeline for his return.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said, “There isn’t much information on the injury so it’s really difficult to speak on this. It could be a ligament injury, it could be a fracture, it could be tendon related, etc.

The foot is quite complex. I haven’t seen any indication of surgery thus far.”

Goldson’s injury will not cost Rangers this season as they’ve got nothing to play for but will be sweating on his fitness in August.

They will have to play in qualifiers and would want their full team back in action for that and it remains to be seen if he can be fit by then.

He has been an important player for Rangers this season and has made 25 starts in the SPFL, chipping in with two goals as well.

In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
