Jose Cifuentes to sign £10,000-a-week contract as next Rangers signing with advanced talks underway

Jose Cifuentes will sign a US$700,000-per-year (£10,000-per-week) deal at Rangers, according to Bola VIP.

The wage would represent a “considerable increase” from the Ecuadorian international’s current deal.

The Gers are now in “very advanced” talks to bring the midfielder to Ibrox this summer, as per Fabrizio Romano (22 May).

“It seems that details are just missing so that Cifuentes is a new Rangers player in the first division of Scotland,” according to Bola VIP. “In his new team, the payment for his services would be US$700,000-per-year.

“This is a considerable increase to what he receives in Major League Soccer with the defending champions.”

It really is an exciting time for all parties involved, with the player first and foremost earning himself a healthy financial reward for his displays for LAFC.

Gers boss Beale meanwhile will be getting a player that he clearly wants to sign given how quickly he wants to wrap up the deal.

And of course the Rangers supporters will be delighted to see the Ecuador international arrive at Ibrox ahead of a huge campaign.

His signature would continue the positive vibes and busy atmosphere behind the scenes at Ibrox, with the likes of Jack Butland and Dujon Sterling reportedly close to joining the club.

Kieran Dowell is another arriving at Ibrox, with Beale showing his intent right from the off as he looks to close the gap on Celtic next season.

The Gers fans have not had the best of times lately, but they will definitely be given a huge boost by the constant exciting arrivals at the club.

And they certainly need it, having been forced to watch on as Celtic edged past them in every area this season.

In other Rangers news, Scott Arfield has been tipped by pundit Alan Rough to make a switch to another Scottish premiership club following his release from Ibrox.
