Six players return to Rangers training ahead of final Ibrox clash of the season v Hearts
Six Rangers players have returned to training ahead of the final game of the season at Ibrox against Hearts on Wednesday night (24 May).
Michael Beale had been without several first-team players in recent fixtures, which saw him even name an unfit Rabbi Matondo on the bench for the 3-1 win over Hibernian at the weekend.
But the boss has now confirmed that six players returned to first-team training on Tuesday morning and he plans to rotate the team over the final two fixtures of the season.
“[Borna] Barisic, [Alfredo] Morelos, [Glen] Kamara, [Scott] Wright, [Rabbi] Matondo and [Antonio] Colak all returned to training today,” he said, as quoted by the official Rangers Twitter account (23 May).
“We will rotate across the next two games.”

While there is very little to play for and there are plenty of players who can get an opportunity to fill in, the squad was very light on numbers if we really wanted to win the games.
Morelos doesn’t have a future at Ibrox but it will be nice for the fans to be able to give him a proper goodbye at the stadium ahead of his potentially final game of the season, even if it’s from the substitutes bench.
Barisic, Kamara, Wright, Matondo and Colak are all fighting for their futures too considering the players that are said to be being targeted to come in, and this will be an opportunity for them to prove they have something to offer.
It will be a chance for them all to say goodbye potentially too, but also for Beale to try some more partnerships and potentially get some new ideas before the new season starts.
Its positive news on the injury front and a good thing for fans attending to know they will see a strong Rangers team go for the win against Hearts.
