Rangers progress in talks to sign Aris winger Luis Palma
Rangers have reportedly made progress in talks to sign Aris winger Luis Palma ahead of the summer transfer window which opens in June.
According to Sportime journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos, no official bid has yet been tabled by the Ibrox outfit for the 23-year-old.
It’s understood that it will cost £4.3million to get him out of Greece in the coming months.
Via Twitter, he wrote, “Rangers are still in the race for Luis Palma. NO official bid yet but talks with ARIS are in progress. Kind reminder: Greek club want €5m. for Palma.”
Get it done soon
Rangers are going through an overhaul this summer and it’s clear that their two best attacking players will be leaving for good.
Alfredo Morelos’ exit was long expected while there was still hope that Ryan Kent would extend, but that’s not going to happen.
Now, to replace the two, they need a quality wide attacker as well as a quality striker and it makes sense to begin the groundwork right away.

Palma is a player who’s been mentioned for a while so it’s clear that he’s someone really rated by the club hierarchy and manager Michael Beale.
That kind of money is steep for a club like Rangers but they will have European competition income coming in next season.
They did not do enough when they had Champions League football this term and it’s time they make ammends for it.
In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
