Rangers player ratings v Hibernian: Robby McCrorie woeful, John Souttar superb
Rangers registered another Scottish Premiership victory after Michael Beale’s side beat Hibernian 3-1 at Easter Road.
A first-half free-kick from James Tavernier and a strike from Ianis Hagi saw the Light Blues into a comfortable lead.
Todd Cantwell completed the scoring for the Gers before Paul Hanlon netted a late consolation.
Here Ibrox News rates the players out of ten for their performances at Easter Road on Sunday afternoon.

Robby McCrorie – 3
Three or four nervy moments from the young shot-stopper. Looked extremely suspect at times. With Jack Butland set to arrive at Ibrox, this was an opportunity missed by McCrorie. Hibs being absolutely dreadful going forward made life relatively easy.
James Tavernier – 6
A wonderful free-kick gave the Gers the lead. Produced one or two excellent crosses and retained possession well. Looked to get forward as much as possible. Dependable performance from Tav.
John Souttar – 8
Souttar is growing into his role at the heart of the Gers’ defence. Made some crucial blocks and looked extremely composed. He’s certainly going to make an impression come the start of the 2023/24 season.

Leon King – 6
Looked comfortable alongside Souttar and performed well. It was good to see Beale throw the youngster back into the fray and he’s done himself no harm.
Ridvan Yilmaz – 6
Yilmaz built on his Old Firm display and is looking more comfortable in a Gers jersey. Should’ve been slightly more adventurous. Delivery was slightly inconsistent.
Ryan Jack – 7
Routine afternoon’s work for Jack. The midfielder celebrated his new contract with a commanding performance at the heart of Rangers’ midfield. Kept things ticking over alongside Lundstram and rarely gave the ball away.

John Lundstram – 6
Much like Jack, Lundstram didn’t need to get out of first gear. Hibernian were beyond woeful, and it allowed for Jack and Lundstram to dictate play. He will, once again, be crucial next season.
Nicolas Raskin – 5
It was a neat and tidy performance from Raskin, but he was forced off with a nasty-looking knock in the second half, Beale will be hoping it’s a minor setback.
Ianis Hagi – 6
A superb moment for everyone when the Romanian netted early on in the second half. We could all see what that meant to him. It was a brilliant finish, and the Gers will be hoping more is to come from the 24-year-old.

Todd Cantwell – 5
Tried his hardest to make things happen in an attacking sense, but it wasn’t his most effective performance. Always an outlet, and more than happy to receive the ball under pressure.
Fashion Sakala – 5
Sakala had numerous efforts on goal and was lively throughout. Certainly adapted well to a more central position, particularly when playing on his own up front. Will need to be more clinical.
