Rangers use head-hunting group hired by Tottenham and Liverpool for key Ibrox appointment
Rangers are reportedly using ESIG, a head-hunting group previously hired by Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool to appoint their new director of football.
According to Sun journalist Alan Nixon, Michael Beale has drawn up his transfer targets but needs a director for the future of the club.
With Ross Wilson having left for Nottingham Forest, Gers do not have anyone in that position right now.

Nixon wrote on 18 May, “Rangers are using a leading head-hunting group to find their next director of football.
“The Glasgow giants have been in touch with Executives In Sport Group who are contacting leading candidates.
“Coach Michael Beale and his staff have already drawn up a list of targets and are actively chasing them, but they need a new director of football for the future.
“ESIG have worked with several clubs in England to find staff, including Liverpool and Tottenham.”
Needed soon
Ahead of one of the most important transfer windows in recent memory, Rangers need to get their act together quickly.
There are going to be plenty of high-profile exits and new players are going to walk through the door to fit Beale’s system.
However, it’s also important that these transfers benefit the club in the future and having a director to oversee them makes a lot of sense.

He’ll also work out the finances and suggest a few targets of his own as Beale looks to build a squad that gets Rangers to compete and eventually win the league again.
The firm they’re working with has been hired by Spurs and Liverpool so they clearly seem to be knowing what they do.
Hopefully, this is sorted out within the coming weeks as they desperately need to bring in quality through the door, especially with the likes of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent leaving.
In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
