Four Lads deliver ‘extremely positive’ verdict on latest Rangers transfer news from last 24 hours
Official Rangers partner Four Lads Had A Dream believes the signing of Ecuador international Jose Cifuentes is an “extremely positive” move for Michael Beale’s side heading into next season.
The Scottish Daily Mail [18 May] reported that the 24-year-old, who is out of contract at Los Angeles FC at the end of the MLS season in December, is poised to agree a deal to sign for Rangers.
If Cifuentes were to join Rangers this summer, he would be the third midfield addition since Beale’s arrival at Ibrox, following the January transfers of Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday evening (18 May), Four Lads wrote: “Can’t pretend to be any sort of expert on Jose Cifuentes, but his profile ticks all the right boxes.
“Also shows we are casting our net wide, and business seems to be smart.
“Potentially building midfield options of Cifuentes, Cantwell and Raskin for minimal outlay is extremely positive.”
Turned a corner
It was all doom and gloom at Rangers a few months ago, with Ross Wilson still in post at Ibrox and the team clouded by the uncertain futures of the likes of Alfredo Morelos.
However, since then, things seem to have turned a corner, with boardroom changes and a decisive-looking transfer plan setting the club up well for next season.
After having a limited outlay on Raskin and Cantwell in the winter window, it now looks like Beale wishes to repeat the trick with Cifuentes, who is entering the last six months of his contract at Los Angeles FC.
The midfielder has already racked up just shy of 100 appearances for the American club while also accumulating 13 caps for the Ecuador national team, so on paper, he looks to be a perfect match for the Gers.
Adding the potential transfers of Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling and Kieran Dowell into the mix and Beale may suddenly have a first-team squad who are capable of competing with Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
