Rangers prepare to tie up another new transfer for Auston Trusty at Arsenal

Rangers are preparing to tie up another new transfer for Arsenal defender Auston Trusty, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.

The newspaper has reported in its print edition [17 May, pg 68] that Michael Beale is ready to get that deal over the line alongside Kieran Dowell and another defender, Dujon Sterling.

Trusty looks set for the move to Ibrox after spending this season on loan at Birmingham, having not made a single appearance for Arsenal since he arrived from the MLS.

Stephen McGowan wrote: “The return of Lawrence would only add to the feeling of a fresh start around the club.

“The 3-0 win over Celtic last weekend has added a sense of renewal as Beale prepares to tie up new signings Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and defender Auston Trusty.”

Another one.

Wow, without actually announcing any of these deals, it appears that Beale and Rangers have already got a handful of moves done and sealed.

Trusty was linked a matter of weeks ago, and now the club are getting ready to tie it up, although whether it is permanent or just a basic loan is unknown.

Ben Davies has not hit the heights since his arrival from Liverpool, and with Filip Helander likely to move on, it leaves Connor Goldson, John Souttar and Leon King.

Trusty would add the power and pace that the others simply do not have and that would be very much welcomed after losing Calvin Bassey to Ajax last summer.

With the Bears moving quickly to get their business done before this season is even over, we could have a full summer of work before seeing a completely new Rangers next campaign.

This is certainly one to watch.
