Tony Weston set to leave Rangers along with multiple players as part of Ibrox exodus
Tony Weston is reportedly among several players to be released by Rangers ahead of the summer transfer window in a B-Team overhaul.
According to the Daily Record [15 May], along with Weston, Charlie Lindsay, Lewis Mackinnon, Alex Kpapke, Kelsey Ewen, Harley Ewen and Kevin Ciubotaru will all be released by the Ibrox outfit.
Gers re-signed Weston from Blackpool in 2020 but he’s failed to make a mark and is once again going to be shown the door.

Right move?
Weston was in unbelievable form last season for the B team and scored over 35 goals for the B Team – out shadowing Cedric Itten’s performances.
That number was more than double of the second-highest goal scorer and it only went on to show just how superior he was compared to peers his age.
However, a year since, it seems like all the hype has died down and there does not seem to be much from Gers to suggest that they’re desperately trying to keep him at the club.

Per the Daily Record, he has broken multiple records already which includes making his senior debut for Blackpool at the age of 16 – the youngest in the club’s history.
However, with so many players leaving, it’s pretty evident that there’s someone behind the scenes calling the shots that wants a complete makeover of the academy.
This could be a positive as the influx of players can be moulded to fit a certain brand of football and Micheal Beale may look to play a more hands-on role from now on.
In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
