Rangers land Chelsea sensation Dujon Sterling as Ibrox decision made

Rangers have landed the signing of Dujon Sterling as the Chelsea right-back gets set to join up with his teammates at Ibrox, according to Football Scotland.

Football Scotland report on Tuesday 16 May, that Beale has “landed” his man and that Sterling is set to complete his move north of the border.

It’s believed the 23-year-old was offered a new deal at Stamford Bridge following an excellent loan spell at Stoke City, who were also keen.

However, a decision has been made and the right-back will be playing his football in Glasgow come the start of next season.

Top work

This is superb work from Beale and the board. They certainly deserve credit. Sterling is still relatively young and has bundles of experience considering his age.

His loan spells at Coventry, Blackpool and Stoke would’ve been invaluable and Rangers are now landing a player who is heading into his prime years. There would’ve been stern competition for the 23-year-old. A player who is out of contract, at an excellent age and performing well, what’s not to like?

James Tavernier will now have some credible competition to contend with. Sterling won’t be moving to Ibrox to play second fiddle. He’s proven himself in the Championship and will certainly feel he has the ability to compete and thrive in the Scottish Premiership.

This is certainly an exciting way to kickstart the summer window for the Gers. Let’s hope this is just the start of a busy summer on the transfer front for the Rangers boss.

In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
