Rangers: Leeds United battle Serie A duo for Ryan Kent

Leeds United are battling Udinese and Bologna for Ryan Kent as the attacker gets set to depart Rangers, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Kent is yet to sign a new deal at Ibrox and looks likely to depart the Scottish giants when the 2022/23 season reaches its conclusion.

Tuttomercatoweb suggest (11 May) Fenerbahce have already offered the 26-year-old a deal. Bologna, Udinese and Leeds are also on Kent’s trail. It’s believed the 26-year-old’s availability will “ignite” the transfer market.

Move on

Everyone at Rangers now knows the winger will move on in the summer. Michael Beale should be far more clearer when it comes to Kent’s future. He’s come out with various claims in recent weeks, but we all know Kent will be on his way.

The 26-year-old’s departure will mean a fresh start for everyone concerned. He’s technically gifted but his lack of output has left plenty of questions. Considering his ability to beat a player and get into goalscoring positions, Kent’s goalscoring record is fairly woeful.

Furthermore, apart from one goal at the start of 2023, his performances against Celtic have been dismal. Rangers are judged on how they fair against the Hoops. Beale needs big-game players who will make a difference. Sadly, Kent’s time at Ibrox has fizzled out.

It’s now up to the board to adequately replaced the exit-bound 26-year-old during the upcoming transfer window. A summer of change is in the offing.

In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
