Rangers staff informed of yet another new boardroom exit at Ibrox

Finance director Kenny Barclay has become the latest member of the Rangers boardroom to leave the club, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper has reported on its website that staff were informed at Ibrox this week that Barclay has become the latest member of the exodus currently taking shape.

Barclay has followed the likes of Ross Wilson, Douglas Park and Stewart Robertson out of the club, with many more also being given the boot.

John Bennett has been chairman for a matter of weeks at Ibrox and has already begun the brutal clear-out that has been needed for quite some time now.

With Michael Beale and James Bisgrove alongside him, it will only be a matter of time before we see some incoming with replacements desperately needed in the boardroom.

Brutal.

Bennett is certainly not holding back from any big decisions in his role, with a complete overhaul already completed at Ibrox in terms of outgoings.

Barclay is the latest to leave, following Andrew Dickson in making their exit over the past week as the season ticks to an end in the Scottish Premiership.

With nothing left to play for on the pitch, it appears as though the motive is now to make sure that things off it are sorted in time for a huge summer.

The transfer window and overhaul of the squad needs to be similar to the boardroom shake-up we have seen, with plenty of players moving on and hopefully coming in.

This has to be the turning point for Rangers, who have endured one of their most disappointing seasons for years despite returning to the Champions League.

It’s all change off the pitch, now it’s time for on it too.
