Michael Beale should be sacked as what he said reveals terrible management at Rangers
Michael Beale has just shown himself to be a completely inept manager after announcing that Alfredo Morelos will be leaving Rangers this summer.
The manager announced after the 1-0 win over Aberdeen on Sunday (May 7) that “El Buffalo” will be “moving on” from Ibrox in the summer.
But the decision and manner in which he did so has left more questions than answers for Rangers fans, and left plenty of doubts about whether he is the right man to take this club forward.

After persisting with playing the under-performing Colombian for much of his reign here so far, Morelos was finally dropped from the team against Aberdeen with Fashion Sakala getting the nod in the number nine role.
It was a poor team performance generally with the fact there is nothing left to play for quite evident from the manner of the performance and the feeling of the fans.
But Morelos came on as a substitute with around 20 minutes to go and turned in a poor performance that the manager opted to call out publicly after the game, before making the announcement about his future at Rangers.
It seemed more out of anger than having been planned to be revealed after the game, and by singling out Morelos it certainly begs the question why he brought him on or involved him at all when he knows he won’t be at the club next season.
Having been tight-lipped about everyone’s future so far, it seems odd to drop it out of nowhere when criticising the player’s performance when you already knew that he has nothing for the club anymore.

With such a major rebuild on the cards this summer and promised by Beale, his actions and the way he has handled such a major decision and situation is worrying.
If he doesn’t get a first-choice target is he going to start speaking out in a press conference? Is he going to single people out when things don’t go to plan?
If he has known that Morelos would be leaving for a while then why has he continued to play him, even when he’s been poor?
These are all big concerns going into a season of major upheaval and it’s hard to know if he can be trusted to take the club forward if this is how he handles things when he’s in charge.
Questions have to be, and will be, asked about how this was handled. Beale should go if he can’t provide the right answers. We simply cannot afford to fall any further behind.
