Rangers fans see wool pulled over eyes after 'massive' Michael Beale news

Michael Beale is a man with a free pass at the moment and with the summer fast approaching the Rangers boss is planning an overhaul.

There will undoubtedly be a number of players who depart Ibrox during the off-season. A reshuffle is certainly required considering the state of the 2022/23 season. It’s hardly played out in the way we would’ve anticipated.

Beale himself has been outspoken about what’s to come in the summer. On 30 April, after the Scottish Cup semi-final loss against Celtic, the Rangers boss revealed there would be a “massive” change at the club (4 Lads Had A Dream, Twitter).

It’s about time the Rangers boss stopped mincing his words and provides a clear update on what is to come . Talking to Sky Sports on 21 April, the Rangers boss insisted that everyone, apart from Alfredo Morelos and Allan McGregor would potentially be at the club come the start of the 2023/24 season.

That doesn’t exactly scream “massive” change, does it? Ryan Kent’s deal comes to a close in the summer and the winger has been continually linked with a move away from Rangers. Much has been made of Kent and Morelos’ futures and it’s about time Beale stopped pulling the wool over the fanbase’s eyes.

Beale’s most recent comments (Rangers official Twitter, 5 May) seemed to suggest conversations were ongoing with Morelos, even though it was only last month he said he basically said he was out the door.

When things go wrong, the Light Blues boss is leaving himself very little leeway. Football fans aren’t stupid, especially Rangers supporters. They will instantly see straight through Beale’s comments.

The 42-year-old must find a more effective way of tackling questions on their futures.

In other Rangers news, one player has been tipped to increase the budget with an Ibrox exit as he retains “plenty of market value”.
