Chris Sutton reacts instantly to Celtic winning SPFL title, mocks Michael Beale and Rangers

Chris Sutton immediately mocked Michael Beale and Rangers after Celtic were confirmed as Scottish Premiership champions on Sunday (7 May).

Celtic claimed the title with a 2-0 win over Hearts, making it two championships in a row since Rangers won number 55 under Steven Gerrard in 2021.

But while congratulating his team, Sutton couldn’t help himself but take a swipe at Beale and Rangers on his personal Twitter account.

“Congratulations to King Ange and the team on their third Scottish title (2 Scottish Prems and the Michael Beale league),” he wrote.

“Absolutely relentless.”

Fool

Sutton has had plenty of chances to gloat this season with their record in the Old Firm games, but the fact he’s thinking about us just seconds after they’ve won the title says it all.

He is absolutely obsessed with Rangers and Beale with this faux rivalry that he has created with our boss in his head.

rangers

Celtic have been better than us this season. There is no getting away from that. But it’s baffling that one of their “legends” can’t get us out of his head even in the moment of celebration.

Rangers have a big mountain to climb to get back to the top of Scottish football after the last couple of seasons, but Beale has promised a big rebuild and a new era.

He must deliver and when he does we’ll be sure to be there to remind Sutton of all the nonsense he’s spouted in recent months so he knows he was wrong.

In other Rangers news, five players could leave Ibrox to raise around £15m for the summer transfer window.
