Rangers must move fast to secure Kevin Nisbet signing as transfer news emerges
Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet is attracting plenty of interest from Championship clubs ahead of the summer window, but Rangers should move fast to secure their ideal Alfredo Morelos replacement.
Nisbet has been in sensational goalscoring form at Hibs since his injury return at the beginning of the year, registering 10 Scottish Premiership goals in 15 appearances so far this season.
The 26-year-old was the subject of a £2m bid in January from Championship side Millwall before opting against making the move down south.

And according to the latest report from Chris Jack, writing for The Herald Scotland [6 May], the striker is attracting interest from Millwall and several other Championship clubs.
“Nisbet pulled out of a potential switch to The Den during the January transfer window but Millwall are poised to return to the negotiating table in a bid to strike a deal at the second attempt”, Jack reveals.
Considering Nibet’s age, striker profile and potential the 26-year-old could well turn out to be a superb pick-up for any Championship club next season.
However, Rangers will desperately be on the market for a striker capable of firing them to the league title next season, with Morelos set to depart Ibrox this summer. And given Nisbet’s experience in the Scottish Premiership, and qualities when scoring goals, the Gers can ill-afford to miss out on such an opportunity to acquire his services this summer – a potential stunning replacement for the departing Morelos.

Pundit Tam McManus told PLZ Soccer. Rangers and Celtic should be “having a sniff” around Hibernian strike Nisbet about a summer transfer while BBC Pundit Kevin Kyle [Open Goal, 10 January] urged the Gers to consider a “daft bid” to sign the forward during the January window.
Nisbet may be the ideal profile for Beale to build his exciting team around. The 10-time Scottish international holds great knowledge of the Scottish Premiership, arguably more than Morelos and Colak. But more crucially, he fits Beale’s ideal preference for a striker.
One who could drop deep, link up the play with the creative outlets behind them, form chances for his teammates but more importantly, score goals at a potent and consistent rate.
Nisbet is excellent technically, great in the air and a fox in the box. At the age of 26, he’s still yet to reach his peak which will allow him the perfect platform to mature and develop into one of the division’s best forwards if he isn’t considered one already.
A transfer Rangers should be all over this summer.
