Scott Brown taunts Rangers with ‘lovely’ claim about Celtic league title victory at Ibrox
Scott Brown has taunted Rangers by admitting it would be “lovely” if Celtic were to win the Scottish Premiership title at Ibrox if they failed to seal it at Tynecastle.
The Hoops travel to Hearts this Sunday (7 May) in the first of their post-split fixtures, with Ange Postecoglou’s side having the chance to seal the league title at Tynecastle.
Rangers are currently 13 points behind the league leaders in the Scottish Premiership and will invite their Old Firm rivals to Ibrox the following week on Saturday, 13 May.

In an interview with PLZ Soccer, Brown, who made over 400 appearances for Celtic, admitted victory at Ibrox would be a sweet way to seal the title.
“But if they don’t win it at Tynecastle, we could always win it at Ibrox with no fans,” he said.
When told it would be right up his street, the former Celtic captain replied: “That would have been lovely.
“I think that is the only thing I really miss, seeing these big games and playing in them.”
Worst case scenario
Every Rangers fan is resigned to the fact that Celtic are going to win the Scottish Premiership this season, but the drawn-out process of the title race makes the suffering that much worse.
In a way, it would almost be better for the Hoops to be crowned at Tynecastle just so Gers fans wouldn’t have to go through the potential pain of them winning at Ibrox.
Even with no fans in the stadium, that would be a bitter blow that every player and member of the coaching staff would feel.
Obviously, Michael Beale’s side could always suspend the title celebrations by beating Postecoglou’s outfit at Ibrox, but this seems like a far cry considering the recent results in Old Firm clashes.
Hopefully, although it sounds strange to say, Celtic will win the title at Tynecastle, and Rangers can then move forward with a clean slate.
The summer is going to bring a flurry of change at the Ibrox club, and the sooner this season can be written off, the better.
In other Rangers news, a multi-million Gers transfer the opposite way has been blasted as the deal hangs in the balance.
