David Edgar names three who will call the shots at Rangers next season in boardroom news
David Edgar has named three key figures who will be “calling the shots” at Rangers next season, as stated on Heart and Hand podcast’s Daily Update show [03 May].
First team boss Michael Beale, chairman John Bennett, and new chief executive officer James Bisgrove are the influential stakeholders who are set to wield a lot of power at Ibrox following significant changes at the club.
In recent weeks, Douglas Park, Stewart Robertson, Ross Wilson as well as Andrew Dickson have left or confirmed their upcoming departures, in what will be a new regime led by Bennett from the outset of the 2023/24 campaign.

Edgar was discussing the news of the latest exit, Dickson, when he elaborated on the overall situation at Ibrox.
“Beale, Bennett, and Bisgrove are very tight, very aligned and these are now the three guys who will be calling the shots at Rangers, it really is that simple,” he declared.
“Somebody asked me if there will be replacements for these people (outgoing executives), yes there will be for the commercial director and the academy director.
“The sporting director may be a slightly different type of role (going forward). Beale and John Park (senior scout) are more hands-on, but you would expect someone else to come in.”

Pressure and expectation
Given the exodus of senior figures at Rangers, there is an element of anxiety and uncertainty within the fanbase, leading to noise and speculation on social media.
There is a desire to hear from Bennett or Bisgrove in the very near future so that they can underline just what is happening, as part of the vision to take the club forward and most importantly, to deliver success on the pitch.
That objective is obviously within the remit of Beale, who is already planning the rebuild that will take place in the coming months. He is about to oversee a massive turnover in the first-team playing squad with significant pressure and expectation on the outcome.
It has been a miserable season for Rangers, with the exception of qualifying for the Champions League but that too, went very sour, very quickly.
As of now, absolutely everything is geared toward the plan for next season.
In other Rangers news, John Bennett and other Ibrox investors are ready to dig deep to stump up new transfer cash.
