Official Rangers partner rages at Ryan Kent after 'Absolute embarrassment' in 1-0 Scottish Cup semi-final loss v Celtic

Ryan Kent’s performance for Rangers in the 1-0 defeat to Celtic at Hampden Park has been branded an “absolute embarrassment” by an official club partner.

The star attacker was named in the starting lineup despite having missed the last few games with an injury but turned in a shocking performance and was subsequently hooked at half-time by Michael Beale.

The manager then revealed after the game that it could well be his last appearance at Hampden Park, and Heart and Hand podcast made their feelings on his performance abundantly clear on their personal Twitter account (1 May).

“That Kent 45 minutes by the way – absolute embarrassment,” they wrote.

Head gone

It’s clear as day to anyone affiliated with Rangers that Kent doesn’t want to be here anymore and has his head elsewhere.

Kent initially saw his form pick up when Michael Beale came into the club and he was put into a different role as the number ten.

But recently his performances have fallen off a cliff once more and it’s clear that he simply doesn’t plan on being here next season and his attentions are elsewhere.

It’s now on Beale to ensure that he doesn’t play anymore this season because he is more of a hinderance than a help at this point, as seen by the second half performance against Celtic.

The club and Beale need to start planning for the future and that means the likes of Kent, Alfredo Morelos and Allan McGregor don’t need to feature anymore considering there is nothing to play for and there are players who deserve an opportunity to earn the shirt for next season.

In other Rangers news, Chris Sutton has reacted to the club’s interest in signing this Premier League ace.
