Chris Sutton mocks Todd Cantwell as Rangers footage emerges in Celtic semi-final loss

Chris Sutton has mocked Todd Cantwell after footage emerged during Celtic’s 1-0 Scottish Cup semi-final win over Rangers on Sunday.

Jota’s first-half header saw Ange Postecoglou’s side secure their place in the final, where they will face Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

A video of Cantwell putting water in his hair during the fixture was posted (20MinuteTims, 30 April) on Twitter and Sutton has since reacted.

“Harsh on Todd Cantwell. In fairness to Todd, he needed to make sure there was sufficient water saved to make his hair look good,” said Sutton (via Twitter, 30 April).

Day to forget

That was a day to forget for everyone associated with the Gers. Celtic once again sealed victory without getting out of first gear. Furthermore, the manner of the goal was extremely disappointing. At least four Rangers players stopped, allowing for Daizen Maeda to deliver a pinpoint cross for Jota to finish.

Mistakes like that are fatal against Celtic. It’s also not the first time the Gers have been culpable. Their most recent Parkhead visit also saw a number of defensive lapses come to the fore.

Rangers

The 2022/23 season needs to end as soon as possible for Michael Beale. There’s now nothing on the line, nothing to play for. All Beale will now be looking to do is make decisions about the futures of some of his players. This summer will be absolutely vital moving forward.

Change has occurred in the boardroom, significant changes now need to occur on the field. The off-season is simply massive.

In other Rangers news, alarm bells are ringing loudly for this player at Ibrox after what was said on social media.
