Nico Raskin injury rumour scare for Rangers ahead of Scottish Cup semi-final v Celtic
David Edgar of Heart and Hand podcast has commented on rumours online that Rangers star Nico Raskin is set to miss the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic.
The Belgian midfielder would be a key absentee for Michael Beale given the tenacity and energy he brings to the Gers, leaving a big decision on his replacement.
The anchor of the leading fan-media outlet stated that it sum up this “bin fire” of a season if the former Standard Liege man is ruled out as well as leaving the manager to justify his inclusion at Aberdeen last week.

On the Heart and Hand podcast Twitter account, Edgar provided this appropriate summation of the reports.
“No idea if it’s true or not but would absolutely sum up this binfire of a season.”
Wouldn’t it, just.

Problem situation
In the absence of official news that will not come until the team news filters through on Sunday, this report is troubling for Rangers supporters.
Prior to the recent Old Firm clash at Parkhead, there were whispers that Connor Goldson had suffered a setback which proved to be true. Similarly, many other stories come and go, without trace.
The problem situation with this one is that Raskin came off at Pittodrie last Sunday, in the closing stages of the 2-0 defeat.
Michael Beale disclosed after the game that he had been carrying a knock in the days leading up to that fixture, which seems like an unnecessary gamble, even without hindsight. If and when, Raskin’s condition is confirmed, that would leave the Ibrox boss with a rather awkward question to answer.
We will find out very soon.
