Former Arsenal forward Chris Willock rapidly moves up Rangers transfer wishlist as Michael Beale scouts him

Michael Beale is reportedly eyeing a reunion with QPR forward and former Arsenal academy graduate Chris Willock at Rangers this summer.

According to the Daily Record [27 April], the 25-year-old has rapidly moved up in the wishlist and is one of the priority targets for the Ibrox outfit.

Michael Beale recently completed a scouting mission where he watched the English attacker represent his former side against Norwich in the Championship.

Bring him to Ibrox

Beale’s QPR side punched above their weight and it’s pretty clear that the players there completely bought into his methods.

Bringing Willock to Ibrox will ensure that the manager is bringing someone who is already accustomed to playing in his system, which is certainly a good thing.

He’s a different kind of striker from Alfredo Morelos as he likes to drift out wide and can even play as a wide forward with someone like Antonio Colak playing more centrally.

Rangers

There’s a feeling that Rangers can sign him for QPR at a bargain fee and they must take that option given how talented a player he is.

With Beale showing up to scout him, it’s pretty clear that he’s serious about signing him and it remains to be seen if and when the two clubs open talks.

Willock appears keen on moving to Ibrox and Gers have the money so discussing personal terms will be a mere formality, by the looks of it.

In other Rangers news, the club may now approach a sporting director who built a Champions League winning team and can hire him for free.
