
Rangers transfer news: Potential Ibrox signings with Jerry Yates and Kieran Dowell on the cards amid Jack Butland reports
Michael Beale is gearing up for a busy summer at Rangers and as the off-season nears the transfer rumour mill has gathered pace.
It promises to be a hectic window at Ibrox, with much being made of a squad overhaul, and there likely being plenty of ins and outs.
It remains to be seen just how much work will take place on the transfer front. It could well be a case of touching up the squad as opposed to making sweeping changes. Nonetheless, there will be incomings and here Ibrox News takes a look at three players who could well come through the door when the season comes to a close.

Jerry Yates
Another striker is certainly on the agenda for Beale with Alfredo Morelos set to depart Ibrox. The Sun’s Alan Nixon has claimed (Patreon page on Sunday, 23 April) the Gers have been watching Blackpool striker Jerry Yates. It’s understood the Seasiders want £5million for the 26-year-old, who has 20 goals and assists during the 2022/23 season.
With Blackpool likely to be playing League One football next season, there’s a chance for Rangers to negotiate a discounted deal for the forward who is out of contract next summer. With Antonio Colak nearing 30 and yet to show his full potential, this is a move which could happen.

Kieran Dowell
Kieran Dowell has emerged as a potential target for Rangers in recent days. The 25-year-old Norwich midfielder is contracted till the end of the 2022/23 season which could see the Gers land a bargain deal. The Scottish Daily Mail claim (print edition, back page, 25 April) the former Everton youngster could follow Todd Cantwell to Ibrox, despite David Wagner’s eagerness to retain his services.
The midfielder has missed large parts of the season due to injury but has still managed eight goal involvements. With Scott Arfield and Ryan Jack potentially leaving, midfield reinforcements will certainly be on the agenda.
Jack Butland

The Manchester United loanee is reportedly set to sign for the Gers, with Football Scotland claiming the former England international is close to penning a deal. The Scottish Sun reported on Monday (24 April) that the Gers were on the verge of completing the signing of the 30-year-old.
With Allan McGregor set to depart at the end of the 2022/23 season a new number one was always going to be high on Michael Beale’s agenda. It appears he is close to landing a new number one to don the famous jersey.
