Four Lads react to Rangers boardroom changes after Ibrox breaking news announced

Rangers official partner Four Lads Had A Dream have shared their instant reaction to the departure of Managing Director Stewart Robertson and the appointment of James Bisgrove as the club’s new CEO.

Rangers’ official club website shared on Tuesday (25 April) that Robertson will leave his role at Ibrox on 31 July 2023, after spending eight years at the Glasgow-based club.

Taking to Twitter in reaction, Four Lads welcomed the change at the top of the club and admitted that “communication is key” in this new era for the club.

“Big changes at the club. It has been needed and welcome the news,” they wrote.

“James will be hosting a new quarterly CEO fans’ forum at Edmiston House alongside other members of the club’s senior management, with the first such event taking place in June.

“Immediately better news and underlines what I think he will do very well and always has done.

Change at last

It has been a long time coming, but it finally seems as though Rangers fans are getting the change they have been protesting for this season.

Already this month, sporting director Ross Wilson left the club to join Nottingham Forest, and now it looks as though the club are taking another step in the right direction with the departure of Robertson.

Fans have been calling for change at board level for months now, and it seems as though the 2023/24 season could be an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and move forward in harmony.

With Michael Beale at the helm in the Ibrox dugout, Wilson finally out of the club and Bisgrove transitioning from his Director of Commercial and Marketing role to become CEO, the dark clouds around Ibrox finally seem to be disappearing beyond the horizon.

Change has been wanted for months, and Rangers fans have finally had their pleas answered.

In other Rangers news, the club may now approach a sporting director who built a Champions League winning team and can hire him for free.
