Burnley set to complete scouting Rangers attacker Ryan Kent ahead of potential summer transfer
Burnley are reportedly set to complete scouring Rangers attacker Ryan Kent over the coming weeks as they appear keen on signing him.
According to the club’s official media partner Heart and Hand, the Englishman appears to be on his way to Turf Moor but there are other sides keen on signing him.
It’s understood that Kent is drawing interest from France and Germany as well and it’s a move he may consider along with the possibility of playing in the Premier League with Burnley.

He looks set to follow Alfredo Morelos and Allan McGregor out of the exit door this summer.
“One player who is unlikely to be here next season is Ryan Kent,” David Edgar said on Heart and Hand’s Daily Update (24/04/23).
“As we told you last Monday, Ryan Kent looks as though he is on his way to Burnley, they are very, very keen on him.
“They’re going to complete final scouting on him over the next couple of weeks, and I’m not sure they’ll see him at his best.
“Burnley are an offer. He does also have offers from France and Germany to consider and Ryan Kent, being the kind of guy that he is, I think they would quite appeal to him, the opportunity to go abroad.
“But barring any last-minute changes of heart, then I think he’s leaving and like I say he does have options in top five leagues and it’ll be interesting to see where he goes after that.”
Makes sense
Kent’s not really been playing like his heart is at Rangers and it makes sense for him to now look at avenues elsewhere.
Michael Beale would surely have loved to keep him on as he offers plenty going forward, but in recent games, that does not seem to be there.
He’s looked passive, uninterested and often trying to play for himself, rather than as the part of a whole and that kind of energy isn’t needed at Ibrox.

Burnley will play Premier League football next season so they’re likely to have money to shell out and with Kent being a free transfer, they can tempt him with a decent signing on bonus.
He’s also likelier to earn higher wages at Turf Moor than he will in France or Germany unless he’s signing for the elite clubs, which does not seem to be the case.
It remains to be seen where he ends up, but the chances of him staying at Ibrox appear to be diminishing with each passing day.
In other Rangers news, the club may now approach a sporting director who built a Champions League winning team and can hire him for free.
