Rangers ‘disgusted’ over Aberdeen fans chants, discussions on with police after fan injury
Rangers are understood to be in discussions with Police Scotland after a fan was injured by a missile that was allegedly thrown through the window of a bus.
The incident took place on Sunday, 23 April, and there were also Aberdeen fans that mocked the victims of the Ibrox disaster.
This has left the club disgusted and Scottish Herald journalist Chris Jack has relayed the club stance by sharing their statement.

A Rangers spokesperson said: “Rangers are liaising with both Police Scotland and Aberdeen FC following a number of incidents both during and after yesterday’s match at Pittodrie.
“The club can confirm a Rangers supporter was injured after missiles were thrown at Rangers supporters’ buses as they departed in convoy from the stadium last night.
“The club is also disgusted by chanting from the Aberdeen sections of the stadium which mocked the Ibrox Disaster, the deaths of club legends, and the desire for a member of the current first-team squad to die.”
Shocking
Fans cannot keep their tribalism aside during games and it’s led to such shocking incidents that have led to physical and mental pain for people that did not deserve it.
Both sets of supporters are there to enjoy a good game of football and that’s where it should’ve stopped.
Hooliganism has no place in the game and it was something that happened in the 20th century and shouldn’t still be prevalent.

One of the reasons Scottish football is looked down upon is incidents like these and the perpetrators need to be punished and issued with lifetime stadium bans.
Our prayers go to the fan who’s been injured by this vile act by a select group of people and we’re hoping that it’s not too serious of a concern.
It’s good to see that the club and police are working together to get to the bottom of this and there should be progress soon.
In other Rangers news, the club may now approach a sporting director who built a Champions League winning team and can hire him for free.
