Andy Walker blasts Borna Barisic as Sky Sports show replay in Rangers defeat v Aberdeen
Andy Walker slammed Borna Barisic after the left-back failed to stop Bojan Miovski from scoring in Aberdeen’s 2-0 win over Rangers at Pittodrie on Sunday.
After a lengthy VAR check for offside, it was confirmed that Miovski, 23, scored his 16th Scottish Premiership goal of the season with a header.
Barisic, 30, was meant to be marking the North Macedonian striker but ex-Celtic striker Walker was less than impressed by the Croatian’s role in the Dons’ second goal.

Speaking on Sky Sports Football on Sunday (23 April, 5:46pm), Walker said: “It’s no surprise that Miovski gets a goal because if you give him service… My goodness, it’s going to be a tight call. I think the lines will be drawn.
“But he’s on it, Miovski, and he wants to get it away across the goalkeeper.
“The cross is a good one and Miovski feeds off it. Barisic is sleeping at the back post and it’s a terrific finish.”
After the VAR check confirmed it was a goal, Walker added: “It was really tight but Miovksi did well. Barisic should be tucked around a little bit so that he doesn’t get in front of him.”
Over 15 minutes later, Walker was still having a go at Barisic, saying he “should have done better”.

Shocking – as usual
How is Barisic still a Rangers player? Seriously?
We’ve had him for almost five years now and barring a decent first couple of years at Ibrox, he’s been absolutely diabolical for a number of seasons now.
Other than the odd assist or the odd performance where his set-piece delivery is very good, what does he offer?
Defensively, Barisic has always been a liability.
James Tavernier has been the same but Tavernier offers his leadership through his captaincy and is a massive goal threat in open play and at free-kicks and penalties.
Having two full-backs who are so attack-minded and cannot defend to save their lives is an issue.
It would make a lot more sense to have Tavernier and then a more defensively-robust left-back to play against the better teams in the division like Celtic, the Edinburgh clubs and Aberdeen.
It’s all well and good playing Barisic against the likes of Ross County and Livingston (sometimes it isn’t) but Rangers’ recruitment is so bad that they never spot any issues in the squad.
In other Rangers news, Beale has read the room over his job safety at Ibrox.
