Rangers defender Conor Goldson issues may be muscular or flare up – Injury Expert
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Rangers...
Rangers defender appears to be ruled out with a hip injury which could be a muscular one or a flare-up, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert believes the best way of looking at such issues is not to factor in the age of a player but to look at their previous setbacks.
He also believes that his workload could’ve been a contributing factor as it was an injury that was not diagnosed until the final day before the 3-2 loss to Celtic.

Discussing Goldson’s situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said, “We don’t have much information on the injury other than a hip problem and it surfaced during training so it’s difficult to speak much about the nature of the injury.
“From analysing it, he will be out [Aberdeen] and it may be muscular or it could be something that was already bothering him and flared up, etc.
“In terms of contributing factors, I look much less at age and more at previous injury history, current workload, etc.”
Michael Beale himself confirmed that Goldson will not be fit for the game against Aberdeen which is on Sunday, 23 April.

The English defender was on the cusp of leaving Ibrox but signed a new deal and has been a regular feature for the first team this season.
The 23-year-old has played in 23 league games for Gers and also featured in four Champions League games for them.
In other Rangers news, the club may now approach a sporting director who built a Champions League winning team and can hire him for free.
