Chris Jack rubbishes claims on Rangers manager Michael Beale as he reports for training at Auchenhowie

Rangers manager Michael Beale has reportedly not gone to Rome to watch a Europa League clash and is instead taking training as per normal.

The Scottish Sun reported on 20 April that the Gers boss was spotted in the Italian capital and could even be there for transfer reasons.

However, Scottish Herald journalist Chris Jack has rubbished those claims as he’s shared an update of him showing him to Auchenhowie with business as usual.

He wrote on Twitter, “Rangers manager Michael Beale is not in Rome for transfer discussions or to watch Roma v Feyenoord. Has been taking training at Auchenhowie all week.”

All for nothing?

Speculation was running rife on social media that Beale could be there looking at potential transfer targets but that cannot be far from the truth, it seems.

He’s turned up to training as per normal and will be preparing for the weekend game against Aberdeen, with that seemingly his only focus.

Rangers fans would’ve hoped that he was perhaps in Rome to watch the clash against Feyenoord as both teams have quality players that they can sign.

He has promised that there will be around five signings over the summer so it makes sense to begin the plans right away.

However, even if they may have begun, one cannot be assured as Beale has been in Glasgow and that speculation is now rubbished.

Hopefully, Gers can win the rest of their league games and beat Celtic in the semi-finals and then end the season with some silverware at least.

In other Rangers news, the club may now approach a sporting director who built a Champions League winning team and can hire him for free.
