Rangers should strike on Marcus Coco transfer after winger speaks out on Nantes future
Rangers transfer target Marcus Coco has admitted that he could leave Nantes in the summer transfer window, further increasing the hype around a move to Ibrox.
Homme du Match reported last week (15 April) that the Gers want to sign the 26-year-old in the summer amid his struggles for game time at the Stade de la Beaujoire this term.
The former Guingamp attacker has made a total of 29 appearances this season, but the large majority of these have been brief cameo appearances, particularly since the New Year.
Speaking in an interview with LFP, and as reported via the Daily Record, Coco admitted that he was undecided on his long-term future in France and that his career was currently passing him by on the sidelines.
“Next season, I will try to regain playing time and confidence,” he said. “The equation is not simple.
“A career goes fast and we must not tell ourselves that we have time. We must do everything to act in the present moment and not let the train pass.”

Although Coco has only netted a single goal in all competitions this season, the winger was an imperative figure in Nantes’ victorious run in Coupe de France last season.
The France Under-21 international is usually deployed as a left-winger, but has also played on the right wing and even as a full-back at times for the French outfit.
At Rangers, despite Fashion Sakala’s growing importance over the past few months, the club are extremely likely to go shopping for a left-winger this summer.
Sakala has proven himself more a forward than an out-and-out winger, while Ryan Kent’s future at Ibrox remains up in the air.
Kent is starting to look increasingly likely to leave the Gers in the summer, and as a result, the club will certainly need to invest in at least one wide attacker.
Coco ticks a lot of boxes for a potential Rangers transfer, with the attacker’s contract at Nantes expiring in the summer and the player seemingly keen on leaving the French outfit.
Rangers should strike while the iron is hot and look to secure Coco’s services – especially if Kent is packing his bags and leaving Ibrox in the opposite direction.
In other Rangers news, the Gers want to sign a Ligue 1 winger this summer and he has suggested he could be headed for a summer move.
