Michael Beale could axe multiple Rangers first-team regulars amid recent development

Rangers losing to Celtic ended their title hopes and this gives Michael Beale the chance to make some sweeping changes at the club.

With St. Mirren at Ibrox on Saturday, 15 April, the Gers boss could have the chance of dropping some senior players who have been regulars in the first team.

With the league now beyond reach, it makes a lot of sense for Beale to chop and change his system.

He knows his job is intact for next term so he doesn’t have to prove a point from now until May.

He can rotate his team and give certain fringe players the chance to prove why they deserve to stay at Ibrox beyond the summer.

Beale’s also hinted at playing different systems and a home clash against St Mirren would give him the chance to do exactly that.

We’re hoping to see Rangers play some free-flowing football as they certainly have the players to do that.

Starting Alfredo Morelos seems very pointless as he’s on his way out at the end of the season and he doesn’t deserve to be given regular starts.

Antonio Colak must start every game until the end of the season and rediscover his goal-scoring form from the first few weeks of the season.

Even Borna Barisic may not be at the club next season and Ryan Kent remains undecided so Beale could make some big calls on them as well.

It will be interesting to see how Gers line up.

In other Rangers news, the club may now approach a sporting director who built a Champions League winning team and can hire him for free.
