Rangers may consider hiring ex Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards
Rangers may reportedly consider making a move for former Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards as Ross Wilson has left for Nottingham Forest.
According to the Scotsman [13 April], he may be unattainable as he’s already turned down Chelsea after they approached him and has been linked to Manchester United as well.
Edwards was famously viewed as the brains behind building the Liverpool team that won the Champions League in 2019.
Worth trying
The worst thing that can happen is Rangers approach him and he turns them down and that’s not really a bad thing at all.
Gers need to aim big if they are to be treated like a big club again and these are the kinds of names that they need to be approaching.

Edwards brought in Mo Salah against the wishes of Jurgen Klopp and he’s been their best player during the German’s tenure.
He also brokered deals that saw Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane moving to Anfield and deserves the utmost credit for that.
He may not have that kind of money to spend at Ibrox, but his contacts in the game will help him rebuild this club into a title-winning machine.
Michael Beale has said that there is money to spend this summer and with Edwards currently unemployed, approaching him ahead of the summer transfer window makes a lot of sense.
In other Rangers news, another Ibrox exit may be on the cards after a major revelation recently which could force the clubs to part ways with a senior player.
