Rangers official partner reacts as Nottingham Forest confident to appoint Ross Wilson
Heart and Hand believe that the time is right for Ross Wilson to quit Rangers and take up the reins at Nottingham Forest.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported on 11 April that Gers’ sporting director has been tracked by the Premier League side for a while and that they are confident of appointing him.
Forest have been in contact with Rangers over how to progress with the deal.
Via Twitter, the club’s official media partners wrote, “It suits everyone. It’s definitely time. Obviously transfer targets first priority but casting fresh eyes over medical, academy etc is a good thing too.”
Good news
Rangers fans have wanted Wilson out for a while and this means that the club will now be due for compensation as well.
Wilson has overseen some pretty average signings as the club have failed to make it to the next level since winning the league.
With Celtic building a squad that have pulled away from the rest of the league, Gers do not look to have improved at the same pace.

A behind-the-scenes change has been needed for a while and with Douglas Park going, fans will not mind seeing the back of Wilson as well.
They need to change their approach to bringing in players and their current sporting director clearly does not appear to be up to the task.
Forest’s interest is baffling as there are so many better sporting directors out there but it’s time for Gers to now look at who they want to bring in.
In other Rangers news, another Ibrox exit may be on the cards after a major revelation recently which could force the clubs to part ways with a senior player.
