Rangers agree deal with Nottingham Forest for Ross Wilson exit as personal terms update emerges
Rangers have agreed a deal with Nottingham Forest for sporting director Ross Wilson to join the Premier League club, according to the Telegraph.
Wilson has been with the Gers since 2019, but has now accepted a position at Forest and is expected to agree personal terms very shortly.
He has previously worked in England with Southampton, Watford and Huddersfield.

“Nottingham Forest and Rangers have agreed terms for the Premier League club to appoint Ross Wilson, who has served as sporting director at the Glasgow club since 2019,” according to the Telegraph.
“Wilson, 39, is expected to agree his own personal terms with Forest imminently. His role at the club is likely to be wider than that of former sporting director Filippo Giraldi who abruptly left the City Ground last week having only joined after the summer transfer window that saw 22 signings arrive.
“Giraldi was only responsible for first-team recruitment at Forest while the club has many more issues than that alone to address, with a whirlwind transition to Premier League football once promotion was secured in the play-offs last summer.”

Huge challenge ahead
Wilson had plenty of responsibility with his important position at Rangers, where he played a key role in the transfers of many players at Ibrox, both those coming in and those leaving.
But he is now taking a step up in his career and in his tasks, with a huge challenge awaiting him at Forest, who are currently in a fierce battle for their Premier League safety.
Their dealings in recent transfer windows have been laid bare for the world to see, with the club spending huge amounts of money on a long, long list of players under boss Steve Cooper.
It hasn’t quite gone to plan for the club, who currently sit in the Premier League relegation zone.
Much of their recent failings can definitely be pinned on the crazy number of signings they have made, with the players struggling to gel and reach any level of consistency under Cooper.
In other Rangers news, defender Filip Helander will depart Ibrox at the end of his contract without playing another game, according to journalist Jonny McFarlane.
