War of words begins as SFA leave Rangers astonished after Celtic response
Rangers have started a “fresh war of words” with the SFA after their response to the disallowed goal against Celtic on Saturday 08 April, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported in its print edition [11 April, back page] that the Bears were left astonished after the SFA insisted it was a clear push by Alfredo Morelos.
Kevin Clancy has been unacceptably threatened since, although Celtic clearly got away with one in the eyes of everybody who watches the sport, apart from the SFA.

They wrote: “Rangers manager Michael Beale was critical of the Morelos decision, with the Ibrox side writing to the SFA seeking clarity over why the Colombian was penalised for an infringement on Celtic’s Alistair Johnston with the score at 0-0.
“The governing body replied swiftly, citing a push on the Parched defender by his opponent. That sparked a fresh war of words last night, with the Ibrox club claiming they were ‘astonished’ by that response.”

Astonishing.
Of course, no one condones the threats and abuse sent the way of Clancy, but everything else about the SFA in this moment is shocking to say the least.
Scottish football is never going to progress to the levels of that in England and around Europe if we continue to back these officials who are not good enough.
Introducing VAR has only made things worse, with the technology proving that the officials running it have no idea what they are actually doing.
With no away fans and a full Parkhead of home fans baring down on Clancy, he made a decision after Morelos had tapped home, which is still beyond us as to why.
The SFA and Rangers are not exactly on the same wavelength in some, if not all areas, so this is just bandaid being ripped off to stop the spilling over.
This is certainly something to watch over the coming days and weeks.
In other Rangers news, one man who appears to be headed for the Ibrox exit has revealed the club he wants to go back to.
