Rangers battling Celtic and Standard Liege to sign Everton starlet Isaac Price
Rangers are battling with Celtic and Standard Liege to sign Everton starlet Isaac Price this summer, with the player looking to leave according to Liverpool Echo.
Price has shone for the Everton Under-21 squad this season and earned huge praise from former manager Frank Lampard during a mid-season friendly against Celtic back in November.
But despite being offered a new contract at the club, Price is looking for regular first-team football and looks set to leave Goodison Park with a move to Belgium looking most likely currently.

According to the report (11 April), both Rangers and Celtic are interested in bringing price in but he is close to agreeing a pre-contract agreement with Liege.
A compensation fee is likely to be agreed with Everton of around £400k.
Talent
Michael Beale will know the market for young English players really well, having worked at Liverpool for a long time and then worked at QPR too.
Price is a talented young player who has already been capped at senior level for the Northern Ireland national team, despite only making one Premier League appearance in his career.

Rangers are keen to bolster their midfield this summer and a rebuild would likely see an emphasis on young players coming in to replace the ageing legs currently in the squad.
Price would be a good young option, however with the likes of Alex Lowry and Nicolas Raskin already at the club and of a similar profile it’s likely that he wouldn’t get the regular football he was looking for at Ibrox anyway.
It’s good to see that we have our ear to the ground and eyes peeled for these young talents, but they won’t all come off and that’s okay. It’s a good sign for the coming window though.
In other Rangers news, an official club partner has fired back at Michael Stewart after his latest comments.
