Official Rangers partner wants Ridvan Yilmaz, Alex Lowry and Fashion Sakala to start coming games

Michael Beale has been told to start planning for the future at Rangers by an official club partner by starting players “who’ll be here next season”.

Rangers all but gave up their chance of winning the title after losing 3-2 at Parkhead on Saturday (8 April), with the manager claiming that players were still fighting for their futures at Ibrox.

And now Heart and Hand podcast have called on the boss to give fringe players an opportunity to claim the shirt for the new season, with senior players potentially leaving the club in the summer.

“Moving forward it’s time for a run for guys who’ll be here next season,” they wrote on their official Twitter account (9 April).

“Yilmaz, Lowry, Sakala on left wing etc.”

Chance

Beale is seemingly all about opportunity and giving players a chance to earn themselves the shirt and then not lose it, so now he has to give players a chance to do exactly that.

His favourite team is clear. Borna Barisic at left-back, Ben Davies and Connor Goldson in the middle, Ryan Kent floating up front are all common themes but it’s time to start moving on.

Rangers

Kent’s form started really well under Beale but he still hasn’t added goals and assists to his game enough and that’s a problem in big games, so young Lowry deserves a chance to prove he can play for this team.

Ridvan Yilmaz was a big money signing last summer and has struggled with injuries, but also hasn’t really been given a fair crack of the whip, while Fashion Sakala doesn’t deserve to be sitting games out with the way he’s been playing.

Add to that the likes of Leon King, Adam Devine and Rabbi Matondo there are playing waiting for an opportunity to shine. There won’t be a better time to give them that chance.
