Kenny Miller cannot believe his eyes by James Tavernier in Rangers v Celtic for BBC Sportsound

Kenny Miller was left stunned by Rangers star James Tavernier in the latest edition of the Old Firm against Celtic on Saturday 08 April at Parkhead.

The Bears skipper curled home a wonderful free-kick to level the teams up with the BBC Sportsound pundit labelling his effort as “sensational.”

Tavernier went on to score another and his 100th goal for the club, although it wasn’t enough in the end as it ended in a disappointing 3-2 defeat.

Speaking live on BBC Sportsound, as shared on their live blog, Miller could not believe his eyes as Tavernier was once again the one to stand up and be counted in front of goal.

“It’s a sensational free kick,” he wrote.

“Tavernier reverses it to Joe Hart’s right-hand side and it’s on a postage stamp.”

Wow.

It was a real shame that there were no away fans there to celebrate this one.

The fans around Glasgow will have been stunned at home and at the pub as it likely felt like slow motion as the ball was narrowing towards the top corner.

Michael Beale will have been delighted with his side up to that point as they were behind undeservedly, especially given that comical decision to disallow Alfredo Morelos another Old Firm goal.

Defensive errors were once again the talk of the town though and Ben Davies and John Souttar both handed simple goals to Celtic, who were not going to miss those chances.

On an afternoon where the Bears had more than enough dominance to easily claim three points, it will be another short trip back across Glasgow thinking what could have been.

Tavernier did not deserve to be on the losing side with his efforts, but we are our own worst enemy yet again.
