Wolves and Aston Villa among contenders to sign Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos

Wolves and Aston Villa are reportedly among the teams looking to sign Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos in the summer transfer window.

According to TEAMtalk [4 April], the other clubs keen are Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough and Burnley while the likes of Villarreal and Sevilla are in talks to sign the 26-year-old.

Palace are also understood to be ready to make an offer to sign the Colombia striker and he could be tempted to move south of the border.

Rangers mistake?

Morelos had the same kind of demand a year ago too and with 12 months left on his contract and could’ve demanded a transfer fee.

Now, he seems set to leave for free unless there’s a dramatic change of heart at the eleventh hour, but that seems unlikely.

It seems plausible that a club in the Premier League signs him or he moves to a Spanish side that can offer him European football.

Rangers too will be better off without his antics and Michael Beale can bring in players to his liking that will adhere to the principles of the club.

Morelos has been a crucial part of the first team this season, making 39 appearances so replacing him is not going to be easy at all.

However, they may have to suffer slightly and hope Antonio Colak kicks on as in the long run, they’re going to be better off without Morelos.

In other Rangers news, another Ibrox exit may be on the cards after a major revelation last week which could force the clubs to part ways with a senior player.
