Rangers transfer news as Juan Alegria seals permanent exit from Ibrox

Rangers have confirmed the permanent exit of young striker Juan Alegria who has now joined FC Honka for an undisclosed fee.

The young Colombian failed to make a single appearance for the senior side at Ibrox, and will now move on to continue his career elsewhere.

Michael Beale will have likely signed off on the deal with big changes already promised this summer with this potentially the first exit of many.

Rangers B and Academy confirmed the news on their official Twitter account this morning on 05 April, with Alegria following the likes of Charlie McCann who have moved on.

“Rangers can today confirm that Juan Alegria has joined FC Honka on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee,” they wrote.

“We wish Juan all the best for the future.”

Clear out.

It is no surprise to see this news being confirmed.

Beale has already shared that he will be well-backed financially in the upcoming summer window, but adding extra funds will of course only help his cause.

Alegria failed to really get a chance at Ibrox with Antonio Colak and Alfredo Morelos ahead of him, with his loan move to Falkirk also failing to kickstart his career in Scotland.

Funnily enough, Rangers brought in the young talisman from FC Honka, so he will no doubt hit the ground running at his former side where he will likely feel more at home and comfortable.

It won’t be a huge fee, but the likes of Zak Lovelace thriving since his move from Millwall will only have made his path to the first team harder, and there is no point in hanging onto deadwood at this stage.

This is hopefully the start of a real rebuild, with a message being sent out that you will have to fight to keep your spot at this club, that is the bare minimum expected.
