Official Rangers partner deliver ‘turgid’ verdict after 2-0 win v Dundee United
Dundee United were “turgid to watch” during their 2-0 defeat to Rangers and Michael Beale’s side were still poor despite coming away with three points, according to club partner Four Lads Had A Dream.
A brilliant Malik Tillman brace was enough for the Gers to continue their blemish-free record in the Scottish Premiership since Beale’s arrival, but the home side were barely forced to leave second gear throughout the encounter at Ibrox on Saturday (1 April).
Taking to Twitter after the game, Four Lads Had A Dream laid siege on a lacklustre Dundee United side – who remain rooted to the bottom of the table – and even criticised Rangers despite coming away with a win and a clean sheet.

He said: “I’m prepared to be criticised but I thought we were poor throughout. Done enough but lack of tempo and no clinical edge was frustrating to watch.
“We need to be better.
“[Dundee] United offered nothing, turgid to watch & contributed to a dull afternoon with negativity.”
Winning mentality
Although Dundee United offered next to no threat at Ibrox on Saturday, the match still had to be won, and Rangers did so in a comprehensive fashion.
The Gers might not have carved open chance after chance, but sometimes you need to come through gritty matches such as this and then improve next time out.
In the end, it was a workmanlike performance from Rangers and further proof that the club must do all they can to snap up Tillman in the summer transfer window.
The Bayern Munich loanee finished off two superb moves either side of half-time, taking his tally for the season to ten goals and further cementing himself as an imperative part of Beale’s starting line-up.
Before the trio of Old Firm matches that are appearing on the horizon, Rangers will need to improve their performances tenfold.
But for now, it was another three points for Beale’s side – even if it was an ugly and tough-to-watch encounter.
In other Rangers news, a new manager on the scene has openly admitted he is after the Ibrox job.
